Sky Sports pundit and former Celtic striker, Andy Walker has said there needs to be questioned asked of this squad of players after what was a poor performance on Thursday night in the 4-1  loss to Sparta Prague.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Walker questioned whether some of the players were playing for the manager, who had said similar when speaking to the media after the match.

“Questions will be asked of the manager, so many of the players and their commitment to this club. When you lose four goals at home, questions need to be asked about the players, and if they are giving everything for the manager.

“Neil Lennon said after the game against Ferencvaros in the Champions League qualifier that some wanted to be elsewhere, and it looked that way on Thursday.”

After the result and performance on Thursday, I do think the players deserve some criticism in what was a pathetic performance and definitely one of the worst we have seen in Europe.

However, there comes a stage where blame does need to also lie at the managers door. We have seen these performances far too much recently and yet everytime we do not seem to learn from our mistakes and continue to go on the path we have been.

At the current time, I’m really not sure where we are going at this stage but something within the club certainly needs to change.
