Andy Walker was outside Celtic Park today discussing the board’s refusal to take direction.

The former Celtic player says he’s not surprised the board don’t know what they’re doing and that difficult decision had to be made.

Walker also talks about the late, great Billy McNeill being sacked by the club in 1991, the pundit claiming Billy admitted years later that he recognised it was the right thing to do.

He admits parallels between what happened then and now, only the board are refusing to remove Neil Lennon from a position he’s clearly lost in at the moment.

As far as Andy is concerned, there’s a dereliction of duty behind the scenes at Celtic Park to remove the manager from his position. Believing the board have been taken by surprise how quickly things have unravelled.

Having watched Celtic play this season, Walker believes it’s just not happening and Neil can’t get them to previous heights. The more he tries, the worse the results seem to become.
