NEIL LENNON confirmed on Thursday Paddy McNair was one of the players the club was looking at this summer but didn’t go into any real depth about the midfielder.
McNair has had a very average season with his current side Middlesbrough and they could be looking to move the player on this summer. They paid Sunderland £5m not so long ago for the players signature and would probably want to recoup that money if they sold the Northern Irishman. While that fee should be enough to put most Celtic fans off, the image which has emerged from Paddy’s Instagram will do it.
It’s no secret that Paddy is a fan of a certain Ibrox club who likes to pretend they were the old Ibrox club but seeing an image of him outside Ibrox with his scarf on will be enough for most fans to think we’re better looking elsewhere. Not against signing people who support the wee team in Glasgow, but the quality has to be there. The cons outweigh the pros.
