Giorgos Giakoumakis was first class today as the Greek striker scored the perfect hat trick to give his team much needed three points and send them three points clear at the top of the SPFL League table.

Celtic were rocked when Danny Mullen put bottom-of-the-table Dundee ahead in the 26th minute at Parkhead. Giakoumakis scored twice in four minutes before the break, only for Ryan Sweeney to head Dundee’s equaliser on the hour.

It was a typical heart-pounding game from the Celts, the players running their fans up and down a rollercoaster ride for 90 odd minutes. Luckily in the end Giakoumakis did what you felt had been coming over the past few weeks when he hit his third and the games winning goal.

It is understandable the player is excited but someone (Callum McGregor) should have a word in his ear about his post-match comments and his title-winning predictions.

We need the big man to keep these comments in the dressing room, these kinds of statements can fire up the opposition and have a tendency to come back and bite.

Still, ten out of ten for the Greek striker today on the park and hopefully his goals today open up the floodgates in the coming weeks, himself and Maeda seem to be forming a partnership the more they play together.

  1. Starfelt at it again for both the conceded goals. . . .. . .

The John Kennedy School of Defending coming up trumps again today.

8 years this utter charlatan has been bringing his brand of shitehawkery to the club.

  2. Why don’t you leave your stupid comments to a private conversation if you need to spout instead of broadcasting negativity accross the web.

  3. But let us face it we could win the league or we could hide from the fact that we are now 3 clear with better goal difference so way not say it lets push it in there face when we go over to there place and get a win can we say it then we are a Hungary team with others getting fitter and looking for game time we set the bar today and we intend on keeping it going, great hat trick i am sure there will be more to come for Giakoumakis he is a big lad and can take it and put it about he is a in box goal scorer that can get a goal out of nothing great players like him get 20 to 40 goals a season..
