Lille are in town on Thursday to play the final group fixture of the 20/21 Europa League group stage. Sadly, for Celtic, there’s nothing to play for and there hasn’t been since the Prague humiliation.
It gives Neil Lennon a chance to out in some fringe players and finally it looks like he’s going to do it.
The manager claimed he is ready to give game time to the like of Soro, Turnbull and Klimala.
Speaking in his prematch conference, The Celtic manager revealed:
? NL on #CELLOSC: “We are looking at Klimala, Turnbull, Soro getting game time which they deserve and need with the run of games coming up. It’s ideal to give them an opportunity to play.”

The bhoys could set an unwanted record at Celtic Park on Thursday if they’re not careful. If Lille score three, Celtic would become the club who conceded the most goals in a group stage competition in the Europa League.
Our defence has been shocking and hopefully this won’t happen. Given our form, it’s not off the table, the fringe players must seize there chance on the night and give Neil Lennon every reason to start them on Sunday against Kilmarnock.
Seize their chance
