Celtic midfielder Ismailia Soro will almost certainly leave Celtic this summer after becoming a forgotten player under Ange Postecoglou.

The player was supposedly attracting the interest of Neil Lennon’s new club. However, nothing surfaced on the back of the reports, and a move was ruled out.

Now, the Ivorian is reportedly receiving the interest of Partizan, who are keen to take the Celtic midfielder on loan for the season. [Football Scotland]

Presumably, Celtic will try to work a potential future permanent fee into the loan after it’s become clear there is no future at Celtic for the 24-year-old.

That Purple Patch

When Soro was introduced to the team under Neil Lennon, he was a new burst of life. His high energy and strong defensive play led fans to believe that the successor to Scott Brown was already at the club. Were things that bad!?

It became apparent under Ange that Soro would never cut it at Celtic; he just wasn’t of the required ability.

Celtic is keen to move him on, to free up some of the wage budget and raise funds for some summer transfers.
