American journalist Larry Henry has told his social media following talks between Celtic and CCV have continued in recent days but the defender’s future has not been decided at present.

Cameron will represent his country in June after being called-up to the squad this week almost three years since his last call-up. Ideally Celtic would like to thrash out things with Spurs and the USA international before he heads stateside.

Right now, it’s a question if Cameron sees his immediate future in Glasgow.

Celtic will finish their league campaign in nine days time. They have three games to go before all is said and done and the Hoops look set to bring home the title in that period.

After that, the players will head out on holiday and enjoy some well earned time off. CCV will head back to London at which point a decision will have to be made.

There’s no doubt the majority of the Celtic support what to see Cameron back next season. The Bhoys have the best defence in the league this season and it’s no accident. Coming in on deadline day back in the summer, the 8 capped USA international never looked out of place.

Celtic and securing loan players on permanent deals has always been a shaky road. Let’s hope for our sake both Jota and CCV make it relatively easy.

  1. Would be great to sign Jota and CCV permanently.

The club has a lot of work to do in the transfer market, moving players on and in strengthening the team for an assault on Europe in the Champions League should we wrap up the title as expected.

Maeda is a loan player too who could do a job for the club, though his finishing ability suggests maybe not as a forward.

We still need wingers, centre forwards, a left back, and a couple of midfield enforcers as a bare minimum if we can sign the aforementioned players.
