MOHAMED ELYOUNOUSSI has caught the attention of his parent club after a top start to his loan move to Glasgow.

The midfielder has made six appearances, scoring three goals and assisting in three more.

Celtic supporters are delighted with the Norwegian’s contributions and give Celtic something different going forward.

Mohamed is likely to start against Lazio on Thursday night at Celtic Park and he’ll be hoping to get among the goals like he did against Cluj on match day two.

The official Southampton website made comment of the midfielders exploits for his loan side and also pointed out the six-goal swing which took place at the weekend to put Celtic back top of the league.

‘Mohamed Elyounoussi continues to go from strength to strength as the winger scored twice to help Celtic return to the Scottish Premiership summit this weekend.

‘Rangers’ 1-1 draw at Hearts on Sunday ensures Celtic are back on top by virtue of goals scored, with the two Glasgow rivals now level on points and goal difference after the six-goal swing.’

Elyounoussi was brought in by Southampton last year for £16m but failed to make the breakthrough at St Mary’s. The player has come to Celtic to prove a point and show exactly what he can do. His talent is obvious and he just needs the confidence and game time to make a success of himself.
