In recent weeks, Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer has been linked with a move to Italian side, AC Milan. That move today though, now looks to be all but over.

As of today, Celtic were drawn against the Serie A side, so you would think that all but end all the links between the hoops accepting an offer from Milan, with Neil Lennon’s squad coming up against them in a few weeks, so we would be reluctant to strengthen their team with one of our own players.

Even though this may finalise all chances of a deal, the move was beginning to look more unlikely by the day. With the up and coming transfer deadline on Monday, Milan were already looking to move on to other options with the likes of Schalke’s Matija Nastasic being linked with a move.

Neil Lennon confirmed last night he is ‘confident’ that all of his players will be at the club, past the deadline which is always positive keeping a good squad brimming with the quality together. So let’s hope the Nothern Irishman was telling the truth when it came to these comments

  1. Look you do not go out and just buy a player by his big name or how good he is at another team he must be able to be a good fit in the Celtic team, what we need to do is make sure our players at the club play free flown football and are happy with each other going forward as one..
