THE SPFL have done their best to dodge a potential title clincher for Celtic against their rivals from Govan but in doing so they have set up a nice little coincidence for the club.
Celtic will now host The Rangers on the 29th April, and if your memory is good you will know that was the date last year when the final fixture was played where Celtic thumped the Ibrox side 5-1.
The SPFL have now made, 29th April the official 'Smash The Rangers Day!'

Instead of the planned Glasgow Derby straight after the split, the SPFL opted to send Celtic to Edinburgh where they will win the title at Easter Road should they win.
If Celtic fail to win that game then it will roll over to the Glasgow Derby anyway.
Can Celtic end the season strong?
How many points will we get on the board? Considering the amount of draws we’ve had this season, can we realistically get 15/15 points up for grabs. pic.twitter.com/w1QrbtFmx1

There’s also the added joy in that, if we beat Hibs and are champions for our next home game, Sevco will no doubt do the time honoured thing and applaud Brendan and the Bhoys onto the field on the 29th.
Now wouldn’t that be something!!!
I would like hibs to win.then we could stuff the sevco.
Never thought i’d be comfortable fore-seeing a tic defeat Stephen, but the scenario you speak of, on this occasion i’m in,”SUNSHINE ON LEITH” for Lenny,Griff,Broonie & even the feckin proclaimers. On the other hand,If we win at Easter road then it’s on to Frank D’s image of “the rangers” applauding THE CHAMPIONS onto the pitch on the 29th,i wonder if we will?in time honoured tradition, be handed the trophy that day, with it being the next home fixture played after wrapping up the title. HAIL HAIL
Come on! They have not got the class to applaud us on to the field. It would stick in their craw and the deranged hordes would not put up with it.
I would be amazed if that happened.
