CELTIC take on Hearts on Sunday afternoon, the game kicking off 24 hours further out due to the Jambo’s participation in European football.

The bhoys have already qualified for the Champions League group stage and have been enjoying one game a week in the first month of the new season.

In their first three games, Ange Postecoglou’s men have earned a 100% record in the SPFL. The Hoops are on nine points, scoring ten goals and conceding just one as they look to defend their title.

The Scottish Champions are back at home after two games on the road and will be looking to keep their 100% record against a strong Hearts side.

The SPFL has confirmed the man in the middle for Sunday’s clash will be the much-maligned Kevin Clancy.

The whistler has already refereed at Ibrox this season, during the home side’s 2-0 victory over Kilmarnock.

You have to go back to November last season year when Kevin officiated an SPFL match at Celtic Park during a 2-1 win for Celtic against Aberdeen.

Clancy was also the referee when Celtic drew a blank against Hibernian at Easter Road before the split last season. A result that could have hampered our title charge had the Ibrox club not blown a two-goal lead later in the day.

The referee has officiated four games this season, both home and abroad, handing out fifteen yellow cards and one red.

The Celtic game kicks off at 3pm on Saturday and is live on Celtic TV for those outside the UK and Ireland.

  1. The game’s on Sunday at 3pm not Saturday just letting you know so there’s no confusion, it was originally a Saturday kick off but was moved to the Sunday by the SPFL as Hearts are playing a Europa League play off game tomorrow night.
