CELTIC have their game against Ross County pushed forward to 6pm on December 23rd. A first for Celtic Park.

The bhoys will kick off at the unusual time the day before Christmas eve and hopefully get another three points on the board.

The fixture was changed a couple of weeks back but with no explanation.

However, a Premiership source gave RecordSport a fair reason behind the move: “The clubs feel with the fact that there are no fans that it would be easier to push the kick-offs forward.

“It also means it is a bit easier for teams that are also travelling those further distances during the festive period.”

It stands to reason, without the worry of fans getting too and from the game after work, the league can be more flexible. Ross County will be able to get back to Dingwall a lot earlier than the wee hours of Christmas eve thanks to the move.

The bhoys are looking to exact a measure of revenge on the Staggies when they come to town next week. After being dumped out of the League Cup by them, Neil Lennon’s men will want all three points and to send a message.

First up for Celtic is the small matter of trying to win a fourth consecutive treble.
