It was scheduled to go ahead even after two positive cases were found in the Aberdeen squad but now the decision has been taken to call off the game between the Dons and St Johnstone this weekend due to the COVID crisis.

This is the first call-off this season and we’re only at matchday two. Aberdeen players broke protocols and ended up in a nightspot in Aberdeen on Saturday which was subsequently linked to an outbreak which has seen the whole city go back into lockdown.

The harsh reality is, this season is going to be very difficult to see out under the current circumstances. The more games get called off, the backlog will build up and with a tight deadline to finish the season, it seems almost impossible.

Aberdeen are supposed to visit Celtic Park next Saturday but with players quarantining – we’re unsure if this will even go ahead at the moment.

  1. Take the points off them and declare 4 nil wins for any team involved in games called off because of the stupidity of any club that breaks protocol, and I mean any club HAIL HAIL.

  2. The league missed the boat when no warnings or punishments were handed to the sevco fc after their late test results this virus will be here till next season the most severe sanction should be dished out as in suspension from league we’re putting lives at risk here I don’t think it would take much for Herr Lietch to call football to a halt if his feeling towards fans attendance is anything to go by.
