The SPFL’s official YouTube channel has provided Celtic fans with some Thursday night entertainment, posting a video of every touch from Reo Hatate during his debut Man of the Match performance from earlier this week.
The 22-year old midfielder was handed his first Celtic start after signing at the beginning of January on the Hoops return to Scottish Premiership action against Hibernian on Monday night.
There was a lot of expectation surrounding the talented Japanese internationalist, and he certainly didn’t disappoint, putting in a superb performance on the night, controlling the game from the middle of the park.
It is an exciting prospect, given Hatate’s first appearance in a Celtic shirt. Ange Postecoglou and supporters alike will be hoping for more of the same as the season progresses.
I am sure the SPFL will also know what they are doing in releasing this footage on the video platform in an attempt to reach the Japanese market, which has been a success on their channel for some of Kyogo Furuhashi’s performances in the Green and White this season.
