Scottish Premiership wonderkid Lennon Miller will ‘look up to’ Celtic captain Callum McGregor, according to his Dad Lee.
Miller has broken through at Motherwell over the past year, proving himself to be one of the top talents in Scottish football.
Having only turned 18 a week and a half ago, he still has a wealth of room for growth yet remains a key player for the Steelmen.
Miller made a wonderful assist for Blair Spittal against Celtic last season, prompting a well-wish from Brendan Rodgers post-match.
Several clubs are sitting up and taking notice of the teenager, but he elected to stay put at Fir Park for 2024/25.
Still only young, Miller has several players he looks up to, Celtic skipper McGregor being one.
The midfielder scored a screamer in Sunday’s Glasgow derby and Miller’s Father, Lee, has lifted the lid on his son’s admiration for the 31-year-old.
“He’s (McGregor) an exceptional player”, said Miller senior (PLZ Soccer).
“Lennon will probably look up to players like that in terms of, ‘look what he’s done in the game’.
“He keeps it simple, he can do the really extravagant things as well, and he’s just a level-headed boy by the looks of things.”
McGregor is a prime role model to any youngster trying to make their way in football.
He worked hard and remained patient to even receive an opportunity in Celtic’s first-team but when he did, he grasped it with both hands.
Now a decade on from his senior Hoops debut, McGregor has made 469 appearances for the club.
He is a living legend and his services should in no way be taken for granted.
