I think last night is a close as you can get to feeling like you’ve won without actually winning. After Celtic’s poor performance in Germany, many thought Bayern were coming to win the game at a canter – instead, they had to fight tooth and nail for it.
The stage was set before the teams came out when You’ll Never Walk Alone played over the tannoy and 60,000 Celtic fans rose to their feet and sang with the passion and emotion we would later see from the players themselves.
We may not have won on Tuesday night but be assured we are making progress. Here is the spine-tingling rendition of our beloved anthem.
