MISSING from Wednesday night’s squad is Celtic’s Nir Bitton. The midfielder has been the subject of reports claiming he is looking to call it quits at Celtic after nine years at the club.

Having not been selected and Ideguchi on the bench, it looks like Bitton has already pulled on the green and white for the last time.
Postecoglou confirmed a few weeks back that he has plans for Ideguchi next season and that the January signing will be more involved after a preseason with the club.
Bitton’s Celtic career has had its fair share of ups and downs, with the player splitting opinion amongst the support.
Ultimately, his departure won’t unsettle the club. He’s a leader, sure, but there are plenty of big personalities in the Celtic changing room. Postecoglou also seems to have faith in Ideguchi to fill Bitton’s boots after the summer.
There will likely be a few players joining Bitton and leaving the club in the summer, and Ange looks to clear the deadwood from his squad.
Time to move on , time to get going , what lies ahead I have no way of knowing
