In what has been a most bizarre season I suppose it’s only fitting Celtic and St Johnstone go head to head on Wednesday night with the Perthshire club on the brink of a double while Celtic just want this season to be over.

St Johnstone booked their place in the Scottish Cup final on Sunday, Callum Davidson on the brink of an incredible debut season as a manager.

Nobody could have envisioned the success St Johnstone has had this season and even if Hibernian best them at Hampden, it’s been a season to remember.

With St Johnstone chasing history, they’re taking no chances when it comes to the game against Celtic on Wednesday night.

After an outbreak of the virus within the team, Davidson is putting precautions in place to make sure everybody is available for the final.

Glasgow Times report the St Johnstone players have been told to take their own cars to Glasgow so there’s no chance of spread or self-isolation for people in close proximity.

Scott Brown will play his final game at Celtic Park on Wednesday night. The curtain will come down on a magnificent era for the club. It’s too bad the supporters are still locked out of the game.
