St Mirren have announced a change to their ticketing schedule ahead of next month’s Premier Sports Cup Final against Celtic, with the club bringing forward the sales deadline after high demand.
The Buddies have already sold over 8,000 of their initial 9,500 allocation, and are urging supporters to secure their seats as soon as possible to unlock the potential for further tickets.
St Mirren have been initially allocated around 9,500 tickets, with the option to request up to 17,000 depending on sales.
Given Celtic’s travelling support and the scale of the occasion, the Hoops are once again expected to fill the majority of Hampden, much like Sunday’s semi-final, which saw just under 21,000 fans from each side in attendance.
They can get additional tickets if their allocation sells out.
In a statement, the club said the decision was made “to allow more supporters the opportunity to purchase their tickets sooner” and stressed the importance of selling out the first allocation quickly to strengthen their case for additional briefs.
Season ticket holders now have until midnight on Monday, 17th November to guarantee their seats online. Any remaining tickets will go on sale at 12:30pm on Tuesday, 18th November to supporters with a previous purchase history within the last four seasons, with a maximum of four tickets per person.
The club added that season ticket holders will still be able to buy tickets after the deadline, subject to availability, but strongly encouraged anyone yet to do so to act quickly to secure their place at Hampden.
Celtic fans will be hoping that everyone will have their tickets by now, so that Celtic can maximise their own capacity.
Tickets for the match are yet to go on sale to Celtic fans, but more information on that will come in the coming days and weeks.
Sales will start with a ballot for those on the HCTS, and if, after everyone on the list has been offered, there are some left over, STHs who have attended the cup matches so far will likely be offered.
