Tomorrow’s Premiership clash between Celtic and Dundee could be under threat after severe weather swept across Scotland, leaving uncertainty over the condition of Celtic Park.
The club confirmed today that safety and stadium staff have been unable to carry out a full assessment of the stadium due to the ongoing extreme conditions. As a result, no decision has been made on whether the match will go ahead as planned.
In a statement released this evening, Celtic explained: “Unfortunately today’s severe weather conditions have caused some damage at Celtic Park. Our stadium and safety staff are currently unable to fully assess the extent of the damage due to the ongoing extreme conditions. In light of this and in order that we communicate fully and openly with our fans, in the interests of supporter safety, we are unable to confirm at this stage whether the match tomorrow between Celtic and Dundee will be able to proceed.”

The club assured fans that every effort will be made to ensure the match can take place, but a final decision will now be made tomorrow morning following a full inspection of the stadium.
Today’s stormy conditions have caused widespread disruption across Scotland, with schools, rail services, and businesses forced to shut.
The timing of the disruption is unfortunate, as Celtic look to continue their strong form at the top of the table. Dundee, on the other hand, will be hoping the game goes ahead as they aim to test themselves against the league leaders.
Supporters are advised to stay tuned to official club channels for updates, with a decision expected early tomorrow. For now, all eyes are on the weather and the safety checks required to determine if the game can go ahead safely.
The departure of Kyogo was inevitable. But full marks once again to the board for their tremendous job done here in bringing in £10M for him at this stage in his career. Let’s not kid ourselves, he’s been a magnificent signing, player and leaves as a club legend and forever HUNSKELPER.
The time is right.
It’s just a pity he didn’t get to sign off with that first half hat-trick on Wednesday.
Thanks for the memories our “other” Japanese Bhoy!
Hail Hail. YNWA
