Celtic endured their most successful season as a club in 1966/67.

The Bhoys won every single competition they entered and since then, have never done so.

It was a campaign to be remembered for life by Hoops fans across the globe and on Twitter, former Liverpool man Stan Collymore was quick to remind a certain someone of it.

Terry Christian posted on Twitter asking ‘Did Celtic win the quadruple in 1967?’ and Collymore was quick to reply, listing all the major honours the Hoops won that year:

1967 should never be forgotten and it is surprising that an award winning radio and TV presenter and Manchester United fan such as Richmond has no knowledge of Celtic’s quadruple.

Collymore, though, represented every Celtic fan well and stood up and defended the club he supported as a boy with utmost dignity.

What Celtic achieved in 1967 – a domestic clean sweep and European Cup triumph – should never be swept under the carpet and it is certain no fan will ever let this happen.
