Graeme Shinnie told the Daily Record that he fully expects Scott Brown to seek revenge for his tackle at Celtic Park during the last game of the season.

The tackle could have ended Brown’s season one game short, with Celtic taking their place in the Scottish Cup final. It was reckless and the Aberdeen man should have walked for his efforts.

Speaking from Scotland’s camp in Lima – the midfielder backtracked somewhat from the bravado we heard in the press after the game.

“I have total respect for fellow players and especially Scott Brown for what he has achieved in the game, captaining the national team and Celtic and all he has accomplished.

“I’m guessing there will probably be some sort of revenge coming back at me and I fully expect that. I’m a man who can take it. That’s what happens, it’s competitive in the middle of the pitch.”

Shinnie is on national duty with the Scotland squad. Ironically with Brown retiring there’s space for the second place star in the International set up.
