Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has given fans his latest transfer update for the remaining weeks of the January window, insisting that the club must ‘stay alert’.

The 56-year old was quick to get going when it came to his business conducted in this window, which will please Postecoglou after his plea for a more prepared transfer window heading into the winter.

Although he admitted that it won’t be too busy for the Hoops this month, he also stated that those at the club must ‘stay agile’, with moves for further additions to the squad certainly not off the table, if they can improve on what is already at Parkhead.

“It won’t be too busy, but we’ve got to stay agile through this period. We’re looking at the squad the whole time. Through the whole January window, we’ll make sure what we need; if it’s available, we’ll bring in,” he said, speaking to Celtic TV.

“I don’t expect it to be too hectic, but we’ll stay alert and make sure if the right thing comes along both in terms of incomings and outgoings, we’ll be able to move.”

Despite Ange admitting he is not expecting it to be too busy a month when it comes to conducting business, it is good to hear that those behind the scenes will be remaining focused on incomings who could potentially boost the playing squad.

It will be interesting to see if the Celtic manager chooses to delve back into the transfer market at a later stage this month.
