Stefan_johansen_121257416x9Celtic have moved very quickly in their pursuit of  Stefan Johansen and it is now believed that they are in the latter stages of negotiations with the Norwegian player of the year.

Stefan has left his international teams base to hopefully conclude a deal which would see him make the move to Parkhead. The fee is believed to be around £1.5 – 2 million mark.

While there looks to be one player in at Celtic Park our manager is still waiting on the outcome of talks with Georgios Samaras representatives. He has conceded he has not made a bid for any new strikers and doesn’t plan to till the Greeks future is sorted out as well as Joe Ledley’s.

He said “We’ve not made a bid on any strikers and a lot will depend on what happens with Joe Ledley and Samaras.”

“We’ve given him (Samaras) time, he’s been a great servant. It’s been a tough few months for him. He needs to come to a decision”

The striker has kept his cards closed to his chest so far but it seems things will come to a head this week. The revolving door may start moving that little bit faster in the coming weeks.
