Celtic has dismissed rumours of Stephen Welsh moving to join his former manager Neil Lennon at Rapid Bucharest, according to a report from RecordSport.

Neil Lennon, who this week took over as the manager of the Romanian club, was said to be keen on bringing Welsh to Rapid Bucharest.
Welsh, 24, who was given his first-team debut at Celtic by Lennon four years ago, has been highlighted as a potential target following Lennon’s appointment.
Despite these reports, Celtic maintains that Welsh, who has three years remaining on his current contract, is not going to be jetting off to Romania this summer to have a reunion with Neil Lennon.
Welsh has attracted interest from other European clubs in the past, but Celtic have been keen to keep the defender at Parkhead.
His homegrown status currently helps Celtic meet the European quota for their competitions.
For now, it appears that Welsh will continue his career at Celtic.
He’s a total bombscare.
I’ll drive him to the airport
