James Forrest, Greg Taylor, and Anthony Ralston have all been selected, despite varying degrees of participation in this summer’s Euro 2024.

Notably absent from the squad is Callum McGregor, who recently retired from international football to focus on his club duties with Celtic. McGregor’s experience and leadership on the field will be missed by the national team, but this opens opportunities for other players to step up.

Forrest, who did not see action in Germany, along with Taylor, who remains a consistent pick for the national team, are joined by Ralston. The latter had a notable, albeit challenging, performance at Euro 2024, marked by a crucial mistake against Switzerland.

The squad also includes former Celtic players Ryan Christie, Ben Doak, and Lewis Morgan.

Scotland’s campaign in the Nations League will begin at home against Poland on September 5th at Hampden Park, followed by a challenging away game against Portugal on September 8th.
