Celtic are the big topic in Scottish football and their radio silence only gives way to more debate and speculation.
The club’s inability to handle public relations has been a big issue this term. They have been blind sided by the manager and any time the fans speak up about performances their default is to just fall silent.
BBC Sportsound were tonight talking about men who could have succeeded Lennon before now.
Chic Young came up with an incredibly poor choice in John Hughes. Talking about before he went to Ross County, Young was adamant Hughes could have been the man to come in and sort out Celtic’s defence. I know what you’re thinking!
It’s an appointment nobody would have bought into. What’s even more bizarre is the rebuttal to Young’s assertion by Hearts attacker Stevie Naismith who absolutely hits the nail on the head when it comes to what the Celtic fans are looking for.
Naismith believes Celtic fans want a Rodgers-esque manager through the door. Hughes would have been a radical downgrade on even Neil Lennon.
'I think the one man who would have been salvation for Celtic was staring them in the face!'
Chick Young and Steven Naismith assess Celtic's options from now to the end of the season.

I think we ended up like Hibs did after fall out with our manager ,but hey after BR left then no one would have taking the job on so NL was the cheap option and on to a hiding no matter what happened….
