Celtic frontman Albian Ajeti has been handed a recall to the Switzerland National side after featuring for the Hoops first-team in recent weeks.

As reported by the Daily Record, the 24-year old hasn’t had the best of times in front of goal with the Hoops. However, he has been rewarded and praised by Swiss boss Murat Yakin who handed him the call-up.

Filling in for Kyogo Furuhashi during his injury issues, Ajeti has netted three times for Ange Postecoglou’s side – grabbing a double against Ross County and the first strike away to Real Betis.

After failing to make a great impression in recent fixtures, the Swiss striker looks to have lost his place to the returning Furuhashi but at the same time been given the good news of his international recall.

No matter the form a player is on, it is always good to see them on the international stage. So, we wish Ajeti all the best on international duty at the start of next month.
