Celtic have released flop striker Nadir Ciftci a year before his contract was set to run out.

The club announced the move today as Celtic continue their summer clear out.

Nadir was signed by Ronny Deila from Dundee Utd in 2015 but failed to make an impact.

The Turkish striker was loaned out a total of four times in the last three years as he looked to find form.

The 26-year-old would have negotiated his release and is now free to find a new permanent club.

In the past week or so Celtic have let Erik Sviatchenko, Sam Wardrop and Jamie Lindsay leave the club in what appears to be a summer clean out.

We wish him all the best.
