JOZO SIMUNOVIC has shown Brendan Rodgers he means business by rejecting a call up to his national team in order to focus on Celtic.

The defender has struggled for form lately and knows he must be fully focused if he’s to get back into the team after his suspension at Ibrox.

The Bosnian international was called up for friendly duties but after speaking with Bosnian manager Robert Prosinecki – he has agreed to remove Jozo from selection.

While a lot of Celtic players are finding last season’s form hard to come by Jozo has been suffering to recapture that form more than most.

With Jack Hendry and Marvin Compper coming into Celtic in January along with the emergence of young Ajer, the Bosnian’s inclusion is not a given.
