Oliver Ntcham looks to be set for a return to Celtic in the summer as Marseille eye two alternative signings with the midfielder flopping in France.

As reported by the Daily Record according to reports from France and Turkey, Marseille will look to sign either Benfica midfielder Gedson Fernandes who is currently on loan at Galatasary or Angelo Fulgini of Angers as alternatives to Ntcham.

The Frenchman signed for the Ligue 1 side on deadline day during the January window, with Marseille also having a £4.5 million option to buy.

At that stage, it looked a certainty that we had seen the last of Ntcham at the club but now he faces an uncertain future after a disappointing start to life in his home country.

The midfielder has only made three starts for Marseille, being subbed off at half-time in each of those games. The rest of his few appearances have come off the bench.

Strangely, there is a chance that the 25-year old could play a part at the club in the future with a new manager having the chance to assess him in the summer.

As he approaches the final year of his contract, a decision must be made in the coming months.
