The SFA have announced the man in the middle for Sunday’s Glasgow Derby game at Ibrox, and there’s no John Beaton to be seen which will come as a relief to many Celtic supporters.

The man tasked with keeping things in order will be referee Kevin Glancy who will be flanked by linesman’s Graeme Stewart and Tory politician Douglas Ross with Craig Thompson in fourth official duties.

With nothing at stake but bragging rights, this could be one of the more calmer Glasgow Derbies (famous last words), but there will need to be vigilant eyes with many Ibrox players looking for revenge on Scott Brown for pulling their strings at Celtic Park back in March.

Celtic won 2-1 thanks to goals from Edouard and Forrest but Brown’s contributions to the cause by winning the physiological battle was the highlight of the match. The Celtic captain was responsible for three Gers players being suspended.

He knows he will be targeted at Ibrox and the officials will need to be aware of it.
