JONNY HAYES has made no friends in France this evening as the player came on for an injured Bolingoli and ran the left side impeccably well.

The player’s pace keeping Rennes at bay and then a 100mile per hour ball winning tackle sent the home fans into fits of rage.

Hayes tackle was brilliant and cleared the ball into the corner flag with Celtic having to knock it out because the Rennes player stayed on the ground and were hoping for a penalty.

It was a night when the referee took centre stage and made some incredibly bad decisions – luckily he got this one spot on.

Celtic fans hailed the player after the tackle and for being a nuisance in general when he came on.

It’s the second memorable sub appearance for Hayes this term with the former Dons midfielder coming on against The Rangers and scoring the second goal to seal the points.

These fans enjoyed his performance to stay the least.
