CELTIC have been linked with a move for Lawrence Shankland overnight after claims in today’s Record Tosh McKinlay was at Tannadice at the weekend to watch the striker.

Shankland moves to Dundee Utd in the summer after leaving Ayr on a free where he scored over 50 goals last year in the Championship. Now in Dundee the player still can’t stop scoring and had already took his goal to 15 this season.

The striker who is a Gers fan was seemingly also scouted by the Ibrox club.

Lawrence, 24, will likely get a bigger move at some point over the next 12 months if he continues to impress.

Celtic have three strikers at the moment for one slot and the club would likely offload one to bring a new player in.

Shankland is scoring goals for fun but is he what we need and can he make a big step up?

Playing at Aberdeen when he was younger, the player failed to make an impact.
