CELTIC now have a clear idea of what they will be up against in the next month if they are to get to the Champions League group stage for the third season running.
After an uninspired but effective performance in Norway – Celtic will now go up against AEK Athens in a double header with the winner progressing to the play-off round of the competition.
Should Celtic get passed AEK Athens which is by no means a foregone conclusion, the road to the Champions League group stage looks promising after more clubs surprisingly dropped out of the competition.
Celtic or Athens would be up against on the following sides in the playoffs.
Quarabag, Bate, Young Boys, Malmo, Videoton, Red Star Belgrade or Spartak Trnava.
