CELTIC has this afternoon released a statement after the Supreme Court deemed that Oldco Rangers were GUILTY of tax avoidance.
The verdict has brought an end to any sort of debate on what those EBT payments were for. Celtic reiterated their surprise from 2013 when LNS commission concluded there was no sporting advantage gained by offering players massive amounts of money to play for Rangers that they could NOT afford.
One specific EBT given to Stefan Klos put the player on a wage par at the time with some of football’s biggest name such as Ronaldinho and David Beckham.
Celtic’s statement today puts the onus well and truly on the SPFL to reopen their investigation and do what any right-minded person knows needs to be done.
When someone or club are found cheating in any sport and have won honours as a result of that cheating then they get stripped of their honours. It’s fairly simple.

I keep hearing that it was OLD CO RANGERS, who were responsible for all the fiddles, & NEWCO RANGERS can’t be held responsible. If this is the case, why are NEWCO RANGERS wearing shirts with 5 European Stars. ***** on. After all, NEWCO have NEVER won a European title.

The outcome is expected to have no material or financial impact on Rangers as the club is now owned by a different company. I always thought Club and Company were the same entity. apparntly not. Although above their gates clearly states Rangers football club Ltd.

If UEFA class them as the same team would like to here there take on the matter now they have eventually been found guilty if they do nothing about us being robbed of millions of champions leauge cash at this moment we are still part of Eu so if they try turn blind eye this must go to European sport of arbitration or whatever it’s called we’ve been silent for to long if UEFA see them as same club surely we can sue the ass off newco if not there just as rotten to core as sevco HH
