CHRIS SUTTON used his Daily Record column to have a swipe at people who are refusing to give Celtic credit for their 3-0 win away in Brussels.

The former Celtic blasted back at the media who want to push the narrative Anderlecht weren’t up to par rather than Celtic earning a well deserved victory.

‘In this country it just seems to be that if there is a positive result for a Scottish team it’s because everyone else is crap’ the Englishman wrote.

I am getting absolutely sick, tired and bored of people saying Celtic beat a bad Anderlecht side.

Sometimes you just have to give credit. You have to give Celtic all the praise in the world. It wasn’t great early on but they stuck with it.

We couldn’t agree more with the pundit’s comments. Had Celtic failed to get a positive result the media would have been on the club like a rash, in victory some still feel like praise is still not warranted. It’s time to talk up our game when we get results like Wednesday night.

  1. Somehow the Media etc Refuse to Give Celtic credit…How many times have we put English Clubs well n truly in there place.Celtic and there Fan Base is 2nd to None,Fact. If Celtic had the Riches of the Pampered EPL the shoe would be on the Other Foot. When is the SFA and That Club thats Pan Bread getting dragged over the Coals for the blatant cheating and corruption.Thats what should be getting critism.HH

  2. hear hear yogi the rest of scottish football doesn’t deserve Celtic time to leave if it means buying the next club in england to go to the wall and renaming them celtic and moving them to celtic park.Iknow it won’t be quite that easy but show them we are very serious about leaving this corrupt cabal behind

  3. I agree yogi but I don’t want to see Celtic in the English league and end up being a heartless club .
It’s all about cash down there .. I know that’s the way most clubs are but it’s for football tourists now in England.. I think in time there will be a Euro super league.. it’s inevitable the amount of cash being banded about now and like Scotland most clubs in England will be left behind .. if that happens I’d love to see Celtic in it .. if not stay in Scotland
