CHRIS SUTTON has leapt to the defence of Paul Lambert after Stoke City were relegated from the Premier League.
Lambert got the final 15 games to try and turn Stoke’s fortunes around after Mark Hughes left them in a mess.
Unfortunately for Paul, he was unable to save the Potters from the drop, prompting Robbie Savage to leave the blame completely at Lambert’s door.
Sutton admitted Lambert is partly to blame but Hughes horrible recruitment is why they ultimately went down.
