CHRIS SUTTON appeared on Monday night’s Open Goal episode as a special guest. Chris was pozed questions about his career by Si Ferry and Paul Slane. In what is a great episode, Sutton reveals Henrik Larsson’s best trait.

Henrik Larsson was one of Celtic’s best-ever players, in fact, he probably was the best. Spending 7 years at the club, the Swede became a hero. The duo of Sutton and Larsson was formed in 2000 and lasted four years.

Speaking to the former Celtic players, Sutton revealed his favourite trait and the bus conversation; [The Sun]

“But we were on the coach to Denmark for a game and I said to him ‘I’m here to help you, if I see you in a better position I will pass it to you’ and from that day on he was as good as gold.

Having played with Alan Shearer, the Premier League’s top ever goalscorer, Sutton admitted Larsson was the best he had ever played with.

“He was very individual in terms of his goal scoring numbers and he was the best, in terms of any strike partnership that I’ve had, he was the best.

Between 2000 and 2004, Larsson and Sutton won three League titles, two Scottish Cups and one League Cup. Under the management of Martin O’Neil, the team progressed through to the UEFA Cup Final in 2002, narrowly beaten by Jose Mourinho’s Porto.
