CHRIS SUTTON has told the BT Sports panel he believes Brendan Rodgers will be off to England at the first sniff of an offer after a torrid start to the season.

Brendan Rodgers was less than happy with Celtic’s approach to the transfer window and voiced his displeasure at the time.

The Irishman has had to contend with several player issues along with dealing with Peter Lawwell and a lacklustre start to the campaign.

Sutton believes all of this is contributing to the Celtic manager’s rethink and wouldn’t be surprised if he was off sooner or later.

Brendan has came out this week and said he is privelaged to be the Celtic manager and was looking forward to the battle off getting his Celtic side back to their best.

Celtic have yet to get going properly and are looking to climb the table quickly and catch Hearts.

  1. Chris is quickly turning into babbling Chris boyd, nonstop slagging Celtic and now he’s moved on to predicting the future
He loves the sound of his own voice and will say any pish to anyone who will listen
    Bored of his nonsense now
    Hail Hail

  2. He may be right. But his resume/CV will look much better during a successful spell rather than a fall from grace. Personally, I always felt he would be with us for three seasons then move on. He is enjoying his success and I really don’t see him run away at the first sign of failure. The problem is that we are failing because of us. We are not failing because the opposition is improving because frankly, they aren’t. In our one top performance to date this season we absolutely destroyed and demolished what was supposed to be a revolutionized sevco. While we won by a solitary goal, it was easily a five or six goal gap between the clubs. Strachan was spot on. We don’t appear to have any plan “B”. This smacks of Ronny Deila’s time with us. He never had one either, in fact, he didn’t have a plan “A” either. I love Brendan Rodgers and the success he has brought us. But the gaps are closing not because other clubs are improving. The gap is closing because we are going backwards. Our results this season, just like the previous two have nothing to do with our opponents. It is simply whether or not we showed up. If we showup, we win. If we don’t, we draw or lose. For the first time in his Celtic tenure, Rodgers said maybe he has made too many changes in some games. No kidding! He did this in each of the previous two seasons as well and more often than not, we suffered. Rodgers is known for developing young players. Yet so far he has developed none. In his third season, only Amer and Mikey Johnston is starting to break through. Tierney was already in. Ajer is still raw and taking a very long time to settle in as a centre back! Ralston got a couple of games. Paddy Roberts was developed for his own club, not ours. Charley Musonda was an abject and expensive failure. We have seen a huge improvement in Callum McGregor. A bit of consistency in James Forrest. But look around the country. Because we have failed to brin through our youngsters, other clubs are benefiting by bringing their through. They are now two seasons into being established.
Rodgers needs to start looking where the real issue is and stop trying to blame the board for not spending millions on players. Our scouting system clearly stinks. So bring the youngsters through or we will continue on a decline. Stop talking about ten in a row when we haven’t even reached eight yet!

    • Another paid happy clapper Board boy brown noser. Stand out like a sore thumb with your over protective PR style comments on how great the board are or how nobody should be blaming the board. Ofcourse they should. The BOARD are entirely at fault for this and the vast cast majority of Celtic fans with two brain cells know this. You and your buddies can write as many pro Board PR articles as you like, you can even put up as many pro board “celtic forums” as you like. It wont change a thing. Mr Lawell and Mr Desmond in particular will NOT walk away from the damage they continue to do to the club. They will be held to account. They are clearly scared of it hence the huge effort to get people to write articles in their favour. How much do you get paid by Dodgy Desmonds media company to write this crap! A blind man can see the problem is not investing in the team. It is not BR fault. END OF STORY!

  3. I think Brendan Rodgers will stay the pull of being a Legend is to great he can become the man won won ten in a row and money will not come close to that, maybe after that he may go,but only after the job is done………

  4. BR got the plaudits he was entitled to so he should expect criticism when hes wrong. The football being played now is equal to the standard under Ronny. Maybe we have not won all the games but we have won the possession stats.
Somebody should let BR know these stats will not get points on the board.

  5. Unlikely BR will want to leave after one poor season if it happens! Not good for the CD after Liverpool. Sure we need a CH and RB but what about the goal DROUGHT? Sort that out we will be in trouble, starting today!

  7. St Brendan is not here for the money, the weather, the camaradirie of the Hoopsfans on the by-line or for TIAR. He is here, as he likes to stamp his authotrity on team, by making them improve and enjoy their own playtime and vigor. What’s in his mindset outside all that is an enigma, that only Brendan his wife and any relations close to him may know for sure. Everybody and their granny can have a quick glance at him and have a bash. So since are glad he is here, and so Is he. Just let it lie. He has enough on his plate without anyone (less the Hoops fans) trying to second guess.
