CHRIS SUTTON has had a bizarre dig at Odsonne Edouard as Celtic ran riot in Dundee.
The Frenchman even got on the scoresheet as the bhoys took another step towards the top of the league.
This wasn’t enough for Chris who said this after the game.
“I’m still not convinced by Edouard, I don’t think he’s an out and out striker”
“The goal will do his confidence the world of good”
Eddy is far from the finished article but some of the goals and interplay he has been participating in this season has been top notch.
The striker can give you goals and much more.
It’s a strange one to single the striker out on a night when the bhoys did so well and the striker could have got some more goals had he not been subbed with half an hour to go.
Sutton again had his say about Rodgers prioritising the League Cup semi-final at the weekend over the European away day in Germany last Thursday.
“I want to see Celtic to compete in Europe, I’m not convinced prioritising the league is the right thing to do”
Another strange comment with no European game this week. Seems he is looking for negatives.
Fucking shut up Sutton, ask any supporter what they want and it’s ten in a row and a run in Europe if we can do it would be good. Keep picking up the points Bhoys and we’re back in Europe as champions next year. COYBIG HH
He might be right about Eddy, though. When we get into the box, he doesn’t play up on the last defender .How many times have we seen the ball flash across the face of the goal with no one there to tap in?

Anyone who has played the game will know what Sutton is talking about! Edouards hold up play, interchange, movement are all over the place! His technique and finishing are good but let’s not pretend he is a great player, so many times I have watched him hold on to the ball and lose momentum for the team. I think he ll get there though because all those things can be worked on!
Leave big Chris alone he’s one of our own
Big Eddy clearly is not an out and out striker, so Chris is right. He isn t slagging him off
