CELTIC were humbled over two legs by Norwegian champions Bodo/Glimt. Another poor performance in the arctic circle saw the Bhoys soundly defeated 2-0, 5-1 on aggregate.
Really flat disappointing performance, first half especially. Well done to Bodo/Glimt but can’t get away from it that over two games the score line is a bit embarrassing for Celtic. On the whole though a bit of perspective Celtic have still come a long way under Ange Postecoglou

The first half was woeful, and the team couldn’t get a string of passes together. Postecoglou chose to introduce the captain and Abada to the team at halftime, the performance level raised, but it wasn’t enough for the team to progress to the next round.
Being beaten 5-1 on aggregate by any team is embarrassing, but a team that should be at a similar level as Celtic is even more so.
Tonight is a night of ‘what ifs’ for Celtic. ‘What if’ Ange fielded a full-strength eleven, ‘what if’ we trained on the pitch before the game. We will never know.
Celtic need to put this result to the back of their minds and turn their focus to Sunday when the hoops travel to Easter Road for a noon kick-off.
The Parkhead side will now prioritise the league and the Scottish Cup. Postecoglou has already led his side to the League Cup, meaning lifting the treble is possible.
