CHRIS SUTTON has reacted as Celtic dropped points in the capital. The goalless draw means Celtic haven’t scored in their last two games.

Postecoglou will feel embarrassed after the display that unfolded. His decision to rest key players midweek looks extremely silly now.

The performance was stale, and Celtic didn’t look like scoring at all. The boring match was something fans have witnessed in previous seasons, not a typical Postecoglou performance.

Taking to Twitter, Suttonsummed up Celtic’s performance in four words.

Hibs will be the happiest of the two teams, despite not registering a shot on target. Celtic weren’t any better, only having three shots on target.

Celtic began to grow into the game, but they couldn’t make things come together in the final third.

The pressure has increased on Celtic. On Wednesday, the Bhoys host St Mirren before travelling to the Tony Macaroni at the weekend. To stay top of the table, the Hoops must collect maximum points

  1. Celtic have just blown the League today with a diabolical performance. With the guaranteed dropped points on Livi’s thread bare park next Sunday Celtic can expect to go behind new rangers. Jota, Hatate, Abada all rotten since the second half at Pittodrie. It was like a switch was flipped at half time in Aberdeen and old, Neil Lennon Celtic have returned. When you scrape points for a few games you know a defeat or bad draw is coming. Possibly peaked too soon, 10 games to go and in the middle of a bad run of form not bad luck , rotten play. Ange can really show his mettle by shaking them out of this. Time for Jota and Hatate to sit one out. Wednesday will be ideal. w

  2. Jeezaw, some of our lot have the cheek to call themselves fans, expecting 5* performances week-in, week-out, demeaning our opponents and ever-willing to turn on our players at the first sign of an off-day.

A reminder: Ange Postecoglou rocked up from another continent at a time when we were losing some of our best players, rebuilt the entire team for less than the club took in for two sales to teams at the blunt end of the English Premier League, cleared out most of the deadwood from the Lennon-Lawell era, reinvigorated the careers of several others, won a trophy at the first time of asking and currently sits atop the league with points and goals in hand. When the team clicks they play some of the most invigorating football we’ve seen in the twenty-first century. We are essentially seven months in. I am genuinely excited about where we’ll be in a couple of years’ time.

As for the whiners? Get a life and instead of just singing The Celtic Song maybe they should take heed of the lyrics.
