Joe Hart is close to signing for Celtic according to well informed Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.

The journalist tipped off Celtic fans this week about the potential of Joe Hart coming to the club and it would appear things are now at an advanced stage with talks progressing over the past 24 hours.

Celtic are in desperate need of a new goalkeeper. Someone who is going to inspire confidence in the defence and support.

Barkas was dropped by Ange Postecoglou as Celtic went crashing out to of the Champions League this week and Scott Bain has not faired much better.

It’s imperative Celtic get the right man in. Is Joe Hart still a good choice for the Hoops at 34?

He’s not played first team football on a regular basis for over two years. If he can become the shot stopper we need he could be a short term fix for the bhoys goalkeeping issues. Celtic look keen to get this over the line.

There would be no need for isolation coming from England and should Hart sign he could go straight into the Celtic team.

  1. Don’t get “he’s 34 ” bit. There was a goalkeeper called Simpson, he joined Celtic when he was 36. If memory serves me well, he did pretty good. Was one of best keepers I ever saw. Get Joe in as well as anyone else Ange wants. This mentality of the board must stop now.

  2. anyone thinking 2 years non regular football i do recall getting craig gordon in who did rather well for us despite not really playing for a considerably longer period.
