Celtic supporter Alan Brazil took the opportunity to tease Rangers legend Ally McCoist about the current Scottish Premiership title race.

Celtic win Scottish Premiership

Despite Rangers leading the league by two points, Brazil confidently asserted that Celtic is poised to clinch their third consecutive league title.

The friendly banter unfolded live on air, as Brazil was joined by former champion jockey Ally McCoy, they didn’t hold back in their spirited discussion with McCoist.

The duo’s comments came amidst a tense title race that has seen Rangers, under the guidance of manager Philippe Clement, gain the top spot in the league.

McCoy, seizing the moment for a bit of jest, remarked on the monotony of Celtic’s recent victories over Rangers, suggesting a desire for more competition: “It was getting a bit boring beating Rangers all the time.” This prompted McCoist to question whether his Celtic counterparts had lost faith in their team’s league aspirations, to which Brazil emphatically replied, “No, no, no the league’s over. I’ve told you before, the league’s over. We’ll beat you at Ibrox and at Parkhead.”

That’s a big prediction from Brazil, and Hoops fans will certainly be hoping that it’s true. However, it’;s hard to ignore the problems at Celtic just now, which admittedly don’t put Celtic at an advantage.

  1. Normally about this time of the year I would be quietly confident.

Given both leading parties defeats to other (dare I say confidently this time) unfancied opposition.

I say both teams will drop even more points, whoever drops the most, will finish top of the other europa league strugglers.

The other will enter the Champions league, both cannot compete in either, due to lack of forwards thinking and investment.

Celtic had their chances in 1967 and 1970.

I guess one out of almost fifty years of no investment is a good thing?
