Greg Taylor has sparked speculation over his Celtic future after a cryptic social media post following the club’s Premiership title celebrations on Saturday.

The full-back, who started the 1-1 draw with St Mirren before shifting into midfield late on, took to Instagram after the final whistle and simply wrote: “Lived it and loved it” alongside several photos from the trophy presentation. The message has raised eyebrows among supporters who now wonder if it marked a farewell note from the 27-year-old.

Taylor’s contract situation remains unresolved. While there had been hope earlier in the season that fresh terms would be agreed, talks have seemingly stalled, and this latest post has only heightened speculation that the Scottish Cup final could be his Parkhead swansong.

Adding fuel to the fire, teammate Alistair Johnston responded to the post with a gif of a child wiping away tears.

Taylor has been a dependable presence since joining Celtic from Kilmarnock in 2019. He was a key part of Ange Postecoglou’s inverted full-back system and has featured regularly again under Brendan Rodgers.

With uncertainty over summer plans and Kieran Tierney returning, Taylor’s future now appears up in the air. Whether or not his “lived it and loved it” message was a heartfelt summary of a title-winning day or a hint at a pending departure, time will tell. But it’s clear that, if he does move on, he’ll do so as a multiple-time title winner with a solid contribution to the club’s domestic dominance.
