Kieran Tierney participated in an interview with Yung Filly and Harry Pinero for Pro:Direct Soccer about all things football.

Inevitably, talk of Celtic came up during the interview when the English lads asked about the club and what it meant to Kieran to play for Celtic.

You can listen to that around 2:30 into the clip.

The Player said there were tears when he first made the first team breakthrough at the club. We suspect there were a few more when he left the bhoys this summer.

When asked what it was like to pull on the hoops the Arsenal man said: ‘”Tears in the family, I first joined at seven, worked my way through the academy. Then to play the first team, everybody knows that was my dream.
“Celtic is my love and I’m not going to hide that ever.

Tierney is now Celtic’s most expensive ever export at a whopping £25m. Arsenal persisted with the deal over the summer and when the bid came in, Kieran surprised many supporters by actively wanting to make the move. Many thought the left-back would be here until the ten in a row tilt was done one way or another but football is a funny old game.

Some fans won’t listen or read anything about the player and if you visited this link via our social media page there’s no doubt some people underneath scalding the lad. Kieran did give us some unforgettable moments and has his place in the invincible and treble treble campaign.

Maybe one day he’ll return.

  1. I just find it incredibly sad that Kieran left..i get why he did go,but more than any player in the past 25-30 yrs,i genuinely believed, and wanted KT to be a lifer at Celtic.
I thought he’d be our Maldini. I wish him well, but still think he made a mistake.
