Celtic will be without Jozo Simunovic next week. The big defender walked into a red card within the first ten minutes this evening with a clumsy high foot. Despite the disadvantage, the Bhoys ten men had the game wrapped up by the first half. Two goals from Dembele and one neat finish from James Forrest made sure the Celts would have an easy night.
Celtic will face off against Rosenborg next Wednesday. The Norwegians made hard work of their passage to the next round. A very questionable 94th minute penalty saved Celtic’s opposition blushes tonight. The refereeing at Celtic Park tonight also left a lot to be desired.
Celtic look in fine form at the start of this season, the bench is steeped in quality and posses young players who will be looking to prove a point to Brendan Rodgers.
