Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol has claimed he has spoken to someone actually involved in the negotiations between Arsenal and Celtic and the deal is at a standstill over £2million.

Listening to the English perspective on this transfer deal is pretty hilarious at times.

Kaveh is most likely talking to the Arsenal camp and he describes how the person helping to negotiate the deal is ‘pulling their hair out’ because it’s just over £2million.

Sky Sports pours so much money into English football and their clubs and fans brag about the cash available down south in comparison to Scottish football. Seeing one of their top six sides struggle to meet a valuation for a Scottish player they so desperately want is certainly amusing.

It seems as if they’re so close to stamping their feet.

As cited by RecordSport, Kaveh Solhekol told the Transfer Show: “I was speaking to someone who is involved in the negotiations and they were pulling their hair out.

“They say this deal is at a standstill because of just £2million.

“That is all that’s stopping it from happening – Arsenal and Celtic arguing over £2million.

“To put that into context, £2million is about the cost of a house near Arsenal in the north of London.”

So, it’s as you were in the Tierney chase. No bid has been accepted as of yet and the player continues his recovery off the field from a double hernia operation.

  1. If we had the cash that Arsenal get from TV media then we would be a much bigger club that you can bank on if we are all part of the UK then how come we are not playing in the EPL let us in give us the tv media money and we will show you what a huge club Celtic are..
Put the money down yous are beginning to look like a cheap set up if its true KT wants to move then i wish him all the best….

    • This article is to funny there pulling there hair out over 2 million pound yet they just spent 72 million on pepe and 25 million on a defender to loan him back to his old club to funny

  2. KT should think carefully over this move. Arsenal are in decline. They have less money than the other ‘big’ clubs and clearly cannot keep up. Tierney should be looking to reach the top of the game and will be a target for bigger clubs than Arsenal. Recover, sit tight and wait for a Barcelona, Juventus or Man Utd to come calling. Securing 10 in a row in a Celtic jersey means he is only 24! Plenty of time Kieran.

  3. To put it another way, if it’s only £2million that is stopping it, can Arsenal explain why they are not doing the deal. After all, it’s ONLY £2m. It is up to the buyers to pay the price required.
The supermarket will not let you have goods that you are not willing to pay the full price for.
Arsenal have a typical attitude to Scotland which prevails in England. La-la land indeed.

  4. I call bull$h!t on this Sky reporter guy….probably made the whole thing up.
KT shouldn’t even be entertaining thoughts about leaving Celtic in the first place anyway.
