Celtic sent out a mass email on Friday, delivering a message to the Celtic support.

The message? We’ve got nothing to report back.

Celtic’s email spoke about the ongoing situation surrounding the next manager of the football club and how they aren’t in a position to let us know what’s going on at present.

They mentioned season tickets are about to come out too and right now it looks like they’ll ask fans for their money without appointing a new man.

Talking about the Celtic statement on Go Radio, Mark Guidi believes the statement was designed to let fans know that nothing is on the horizon:

“For people again it’s like a holding statement.

“Every Celtic supporter wants the next statement from the club to be ‘Here’s your new manager‘.

“That’s not happening. Going by that statement, I don’t think it’s close otherwise I don’t think the club would have put the statement out.”

It’s difficult to argue with Guidi’s position; Celtic had to put something out because of their lack of engagement not just in the last two months but over the whole season.

The board have created a distance between themselves and the support and we’ve felt at loggerheads with the custodians running our club.

Celtic fans want to know what happens next. How much longer can we wait on an announcement?

  1. The board are sadly out of touch and out of their depth, they do not have a clue about modern day football, just Profit and Loss accounts, their sell high buy cheap business model has allowed the club to crumble, led by Mr Lawwell whose ego should now be crumbling also. The fans are the lifeblood of the club and have been treated with dis respectfully by the board who take the money out the fans put in
